Quiet location. Beautiful views. We stayed at number 48. Hot tub was great. Staff really helpful. The lodge was in immaculate condition. Perfect for a restful break with so many lovely walks nearby.
Lovely static caravan on a very quiet site.the caravan was very clean and tidy on arrival.the site is very quiet and well maintained. There are very few facilities on this site out of season,so if you want to use the pool, come during the holiday season. The local shop is within walking distance.
Lovely park, really friendly. Loved the hot tub and heated pool.
They have a Table tennis set, Badminton and swing ball set up by the reception.
Lovely pub within a 10 minute walk serves good food and lovely atmosphere.
Nice quiet area, no on site facilities which was a down side. The caravan was nice and clean and the hot tub was lovely. The mattress was as hard as concrete so spent most of the week sleeping on one of the two seater sofas. Would not go again.
Beautifully presented caravan with modern furniture. The hot tub was great and was maintained throughout our visit.
The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, but other than that, everything else seemed in good nick.
The site it self is very quiet, which was why I booked it. There’s not much to it apart from a swimming pool and a little park, but Okehampton is 10 minutes drive down the road with lots of restaurants, cinema, coffee shops, supermarkets and a park (Simmons park).
The only issues we had was with our neighbours being noisy quite late and on our last night having a domestic dispute resulting in the police being called. We contacted the out of hours number and somebody came by quite quickly. It was dealt with swiftly, but resulted in very little sleep a few nights of our stay.
As I was staying out of season it was very much just a place to set up base camp.
My only bugbear was the 'your mobile is your key' app.
To smooth your customer experience, etc was the reasons given.
Given that you have to register every guests name and No. Then all download an app, it would be quicker to report to reception and be handed a key!
Three attempts later, it finally granted access, even though it stated, again, that no keys were allocated to this number.
I still had to search for the green button that is supposed to automatically appear (it did the following day!!)
On the final day, I planned on leaving at 8am, locked up but tried to reenter only to discover the app had removed access, booking out time is 10am.
Not impressed; this system benefits the business; down manning, cost saving, etc. but zero benefit to the paying guest!
Cheap & not so cheerful.
I booked a "lodge" it wasn't a lodge it was a static home. Struggled to locate it on site as not clearly numbered.
The lounge, diner & kitchen were clean & modern, light & airy. The rest of the "lodge" not so much. All very dated, musty, bathroom riddled with holes from where fixtures had been moved or fallen out. You couldn't escape the smell of damp in both bathrooms. Mattresses rock hard. One of the rooms was freezing all the time. No matter what we tried it didn't work. Moved my boys out of there in the end.
No onsite facilities which was a shame.
Hot tub was great but caravan to the right had a clear view of us, needs more privacy so screening on both sides of deck would be better. Could do with an onsite shop for basic essentials. Could be better with some modernisation.
Owner lovely & friendly and very helpful. Easy to find.
Quiet location. Looks abit run down. Photos on hoseasons for the pods are not what you really get on park.
Caravan was good, cleanliness could have been abit more attention to detail as vent in double bedroom was covered in fluff. But overall good.
Small selection of TV channels.
Hot tub and decking was good.
Would stay again.
